Itinerary Summary
On this tour you will have a chance to explore the southern Tanzania safari destinations package through game drive for game viewing in 7 nights. In Udzungwa Mountain forest national park you will be enjoying natural water falls, watching red colobus and rare flora and fauna found only in Udzungwa, groups of elephants in Mikumi and much more in Ruaha.
Itinerary Details
Day 1: drive to Mikumi
Pick up from the place of staying in and drive to Mikumi National Park with packed lunch. Game viewing in the park, animals commonly found Include lion, eland, hartebeest, buffalo, wildebeest, giraffe, zebra and elephants. Wild dog can be seen in packs here. Dinner and overnight will be at Genesis Motel.
Day 2: Game drive in Mikumi
Early morning sunrise game viewing, back for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Iringa Town via Ismila Stone Age Site, this seasonal watercourse has yielded one of the richest collections of Stone Age tools known anywhere in the world. Even if you don’t find archeology particularly alluring, Ismila is still well worth a visit to see the scenic gully, which contains a number of sandstone pillars, carved out by an extinct river. Dinner and overnight will be at Ismila Hotel.
Day 3: From Iringa Town To Ruaha Game Drive
After breakfast drive to Ruaha National Park for lunch. Afternoon game viewing in the park, which is known to be one of the more natural, unspoilt as well as one of the largest Parks of Africa. Dinner and overnight will be at the Bandas.
Day 4: Full Day Ruaha Game Drive
Morning after breakfast, full day game viewing in the park. The exciting Great Ruaha River features large numbers of hippo and crocodile and attracts lion, leopard, hunting dog and other species such as waterbuck, impala, giraffe, warthog, eland, zebra and elephants. Grant’s gazelle, ostrich and cheetah may be seen on the plains. All meals at the bandas.
Day 5: Ruaha Game Drive and Udzungwa
Early morning sunrise game viewing Ruaha, back to the Camp for breakfast. After breakfast drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park with packed lunch. Dinner and overnight will be at Udzungwa Mountain View Lodge.
Day 6: Udzungwa to Dar es salaam
After breakfast, start trekking leads to the spectacular trail up to Sanje waterfalls. From here you will have a view of Kilombero Valley 180m. Back to the lodge for lunch, Afternoon drive back to Dar es Salaam.
