Itinerary Overview
Day 1 Transfer to Katavi National Park
Our Safari will start from Arusha or Dar, by shared charter plane which will take almost two hours or more to reach to Katavi National Park. In the afternoon you will have game drive and late afternoon/evening walking safari. Dinner and overnight at the selected Hotel or Bush Lodge.
Day 2: Walking Safaris and Game Drives in Katavi
After breakfast, Morning walking safari to explore the Katavi floodplain. Late morning break for picnic brunch. Afternoon game drive to Katavi’s inner side. Dinner and overnight at chosen accommodation or Bush Lodge.
Day 3: Game Drives in Katavi Full Day
After breakfast, spend another day exploring the Katavi floodplain.
Late morning break for picnic brunch.
Afternoon game drives to Katavi’s inner side. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge near Katavi.
Day 4:Walking Mahale Mountains
After breakfast; take shared chartered flight about one-hour to the Mahale Mountains. Transfer in boat along Lake Tanganyika.
Lunch at Kungwe Beach Lodge
Afternoon foot-walking safari in the Mahale Mountains. Dinner and overnight at Beach Lodge
Day 5 – 6: Safari in Mahale Mountains
Spend two-full days of bird-watching and chimpanzee tracking in Mahale Mountains.
Picnic lunches in the mountain forest
Afternoon walking safaris in the mountains followed by late afternoon leisure time along the beach on Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Hotel or Beach Lodge.
Day 7 – Depart by Air to Arusha or Dar es Salaam
After breakfast, pick-up by boat and 4WD back to the airstrip for shared chartered flight to Arusha or Dar
